Hand-Crafted Pies

My pies are hand-made using traditional recipes and the best all-natural locally sourced ingredients, then baked in small batches by a professional chef right here in North Canterbury. It’s not the easiest way to make pies but I’m not making the fastest pies, I’m making the best pies.

Best pies, best taste, every time. Hand-made and guaranteed delicious with no artificial flavours or preservatives.

All my meat pies contain a minimum of 100 – 150 grams of meat so get stuck in and enjoy!

Beef Mince & Cheese Pies

Mince and cheese pie with chips and beans

The cheesiest mince pies – perfect for a quick lunch between jobs, or a hot bite on the golf course.

Ingredients: Prime NZ Steak Mince, Aged cheddar cheese, Gravy, and Seasoning in a delicious Flaky Pastry.

Chicken Leek & Vegetable Pies

Only free-range chooks are selected for my juicy hand crafted chicken pies. Prepared with fresh leeks and mixed vegetables in a lovely creamy white sauce.

Ingredients: Free-range Chicken, Leeks, Corn, and Seasoning in a Flaky pastry.

Prime Steak & Cheese Pies

The best thing that could happen to steak is to be inside my pies. I use only the best cuts of fresh NZ beef.

Ingredients: Prime Steak, Cheddar Cheese, Gravy, Seasoning and Flaky pastry.

British Pork Pie

The porkiest pies you’ve ever had. Perfect with bread, pickles and cheese (or HP Brown Sauce) in a ploughman’s lunch.

Ingredients: Prime NZ Shoulder and Belly Pork, Succulent Jelly, Seasoning, and wrapped in a traditional Hot Water Pastry.

Veggie Pot Pie

Here’s my version of a veggie pot pie – filled with lots of fresh seasonal vegetables in a mild cream cheese sauce with tarragon.

Ingredients: Seasonal vegetables, cheese, cream, butter, flour, seasoning.

Steak & Mushroom Pie

Ingredients: NZ Skirt Steak, Potatoes, Swede, and Onion perfectly seasoned in a Traditional Butter & Lard Pastry.

My chicken, bacon and apricot pie is packed with flavour and is best enjoyed cold, as a summer lunchtime treat.

Ingredients: chicken, bacon, apricot, gelatine, and seasoning, wrapped in water pastry.
